Dale Richard Matthews was born in Buffalo, New York on September 15, 1948 and passed away on March 9, 2022 in Corpus Christi, Texas.
He is survived by his wife of 44 years, Trudi. He is also survived by his son Jeff Matthews and Lacreasha, son Charlie Matthews and Sabina, son Brian Matthews, son Matthew Rice and Chelsea King, and son Sean Matthews. Nine grandchildren, Brett, Stefanie, Samantha, Conor, Noah, Cory, Gabriel, Coby, and Willow. Two Great Grandchildren Theodore & Everleigh. Brother Charles Matthews and Marilyn.
He was preceded in death by his parents Charles & Elizabeth Matthews.
He loved his dogs and playing his many guitars. He enjoyed golf, sports, boating, and spending time with his family; and there was always a place in his heart for a good Single Malt or Irish Whiskey!
He and Trudi, with the help of their son, Matt have enjoyed owning and operating P'etcetera Boarding and Grooming since 2003.
A Memorial Service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Sunday, March 27, 2022 at Charles W. Smith & Sons 2925 5th St., Sachse, Texas 75048.
