Connie Bernice Seymour

Connie Bernice Seymour, 59, of McKinney, Texas passed away peacefully on Tuesday, February 22, 2022, surrounded by her family and loved ones, praying her into the arms of Jesus and into the Kingdom of Heaven. Connie was born in Torrance, California and grew up in the Houston, Texas area. She served the community as an educator, teaching elementary school children for 27 years before retiring, moving to McKinney, Texas and obtaining her license in real estate. She thoroughly enjoyed her time as a Realtor on the Taylor Team at Keller Williams Realty in Plano, alongside the love of her life, Scott, her husband of 32 years. She was over-joyed for the arrival of her two grandchildren, Barrett Bohn (due in March) and Wescott Clay Paschal (due in September). Connie will be dearly missed and always remembered as the central positive energy in every group, in every room, for the entirety of her walk with us here on Earth.

Connie is predeceased by Mildred Sprinkle (grandmother), George Willard Sprinkle (grandfather), Eddie Childs (stepfather) and Michael Kirby (half-brother). She is survived by Scott Seymour (husband), Sarah and Blake Bohn (daughter and son-in-law), Hailey and Clay Paschal (daughter and son-in-law), Dustin Seymour and Molly Blake (stepson and his partner), Dardenella Childs (mother), Oliver Joe and Penny Kirby (father and stepmother), Ronald and Ann Marie Kirby (brother and sister-in-law), John Denson Hollaway, Jr. and Angel Hollaway (half brother and half sister-in-law), Ara Kirby (half sister-in-law), Julie and Christopher Fults (half-sister and half brother-in-law) and countless aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.

Connie requested a celebration of life be held in her honor as opposed to traditional funeral services. We request all of Connie's loved ones to join us in celebrating her beautiful life at Charles W. Smith & Sons Funeral Home on Monday, March 7, 2022 from 6-8pm and the following day at First McKinney Church on Tuesday, March 8, 2022 at 11am, reception immediately following.
