Clyde Ray McClain

81, formerly of Sachse, Texas, passed away August 3, 2012 in Tyler, Texas. He was born January 5, 1931 to Vernon E. and Pearl (Welch) McClain in Waco, Texas. He married Joyce Blasingame in February of 1953. Clyde served his country proudly in the United States Army. He was Baptist and also, a member of Texas Thoroughbred Association.

He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Leslie E. McClain; and two sisters, Rilda L. McCorkle and Leta V. Cardwell.

Clyde is survived by his loving wife of fifty-five years, Joyce McClain; two sons, Sydney C. Hunter and his wife, Sheryl and Clyde Dale Foxell; daughter, Joy Gregary and her husband, Earl; three sisters, Tommie L. Hefflefinger, Mildred L. Woodruff, and Mary G. Stamm; and thirteen grandchildren.

Visitation will be from 3:00 P.M. until 5:00 P.M., Sunday, August 5, 2012 at Charles W. Smith & Sons Funeral Home. Service will be held at 2:00 P.M., Monday, August 6, 2012 at Charles W. Smith & Sons Funeral Home Chapel, 2925 5th Street, Sachse, Texas 75048. Dr. Anna Hosemann-Butler officiating.
