Cletta Virginia Powers

Cletta Virginia “Ginger” Powers of McKinney, TX stepped into heaven, January 25, 2023. Ginger was born October 3, 1928, in Dover, Arkansas to the late Arvin and Grace Stumbaugh. Ginger married Elbert Carl Powers on August 21, 1947. During their 66 year marriage, they faithfully served God and His church in full time ministry in Tennessee, Texas, Missouri, Oklahoma and Alabama. In addition to serving as a pastor’s wife, Ginger spent a number of years in education as a teacher, principal and administrator.

Ginger is survived by her children, Carol (Otis) Thompson, Jack (Phyllis) Powers, Janna (Harry) Holloway and LeeAnn (Steve) Vaughn. Her son Steve and his wife Judy preceded Ginger in death. Ginger is also survived by 10 grandchildren whom she adored and 20 great grandchildren.

A memorial service will be held February 4, 2023 at 11 AM, at New Life Church of McKinney, 501 East Virginia.
