Christopher Adam Lord, 40, of McKinney, TX passed away on 2/28/2024.
Chris was born August 18, 1983 in Cleburne, Texas, moving around during his childhood before graduating from Grandbury High School. Chris was shelf motivated to do his best; working at CVS while earning an associate’s degree from The Art Institute of Dallas and a bachelor’s degree from the University of North Texas. Once he graduated from UNT, he began his career coding for medical companies including MedAssets and AmerisourceBergen.
Chris met the love of his life, Lauren, in 2007 through Match.com. Although he overslept and was really late to their second date, their relationship grew, their bond deepened and they were married April 23, 2011. Their family grew with the birth of their son, Jackson in 2014 and again with the birth of their daughter, Aria in 2016. Chris loved his kids with all his heart and was always there to support them including stepping up to be a soccer coach for Jackson and being a proud dance dad for Aria.
Chris loved technology, coding, gaming, anime and collecting collectibles like Funko, Tiny Ghosts and Handmade by Robots. Chris loved to travel with his family and was a big supporter of his wife’s love of Disney.
Chris will always be remembered as the caring father, loving husband, and supportive friend that he was. He will be missed every day and his memory will live on in the hearts of all of those who loved him.
Chris is survived by his wife Lauren, their children Jackson and Aria, in-laws Wanda and William Cunningham, brother-in-law Dennis and his wife Danielle, parents Michelle and Gene Lord, grandfather Dan Krivoshia, sister Tasha, brother Daniel and partner Stephanie Morris, niece Danielle and nephew Devin.
