Betty Sue Luther

August 2, 1960 — August 19, 2021

Betty Sue Hiller Luther was born in Eagle Pass, Texas on August 2, 1960 and left us suddenly on August 19, 2021 at the age of 61 from Covid 19. She battled metastatic breast cancer for the last 14 years. Betty was a warrior as well as a proud and loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend.

Betty Luther was someone who never met a stranger. She was very outgoing and could talk to anyone on most any subject and enjoyed a life filled with laughter. A true caregiver, she loved with her whole heart. Betty lived her life to the fullest and never let her illness get in her way. She was a wonderful, stubborn woman who will be greatly missed by everyone who knew her. Betty was absolutely one of a kind and was cherished by her family.

Betty is survived by her husband, Orville Ray Luther; son Stephen Luther and wife Robyn along with their children Caydee, Trace, Harper, Adeline, and Mason; son Anthony Luther and his children Logan and Gabriel; daughter Jennifer Luther; grandchildren Hailey, Devon and Mia Luther; stepsons Cheston Luther, Nathan Luther, and Chad Luther; grandson Wade Suffron and wife Tania; grandson Michael Sapp and wife Rosie; siblings Gloria Bragg and Victor Hiller; nephew Eddie Alamillo; as well as other grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and friends.

Arrangements are being handled by Charles W Smith & Sons in Sachse, Texas. As required by Covid 19 protocol, there will be a private viewing on Tuesday, August 24, 2021 at 11:00 a.m. for immediate family only. After cremation, her family will schedule a Celebration of Life for all family and friends to come tell stories, eat great food, and celebrate the life that was taken from them too soon.
