Bernice Belt

Bernice Hemphill Belt passed away September 4th, 2020, to be with her husband Carson Belt. She was born August 30, 1922, in Collin County, Texas to George E. and Mabel Davis Hemphill. Bernice was the youngest of seven siblings. She graduated from Trenton High School in 1939 as Salutatorian.

She married Carson Belt on March 13, 1948. They were married for 49 years, prior to his death. Bernice retired from Safeway grocery store after working for the company for over 20 years.

She is survived by daughter Sandra Minter of McKinney, grandson Jeff Minter and his wife Mary , two great grandchildren Carson and Pearson Minter all of Flower Mound, two sisters-in-law, Margie Hemphill of Dallas and Frances Hemphill of McKinney as well as many nieces and nephews, friends, and their families.

Graveside service will be held at Stony Point Cemetery in Melissa, Texas, on Tuesday, September 8th, 2020 at 1:00 p.m.
