Bennie "Ben" Dewayne Woodson

Ben Dewayne Woodson entered his heavenly home on February 21, 2023, at the age of 51 after a brief battle with liver cancer.

He was born on August 1, 1971, in Irving, TX to Dennis & Shirley Woodson.

He is survived by his parents Dennis & Shirley Woodson, and his wife, Sheri Woodson, son, Ethan, and daughter, Sadie. In addition to his sister, Angie Woodson, several loved nieces and nephews, and their families.  Along with numerous extended family and friends.

Ben began his career working at State Farm and was a hard-working loyal employee for 25 years. Ben was well-loved as a husband, Dad, mentor, friend, and BBQ aficionado.

He enjoyed watching NASCAR, attending pinball tournaments with his son, and touring around Texas to eat all the best BBQ.  He accepted Christ at the age of 5 and was passionate about spreading God’s message of salvation to all he knew.

A memorial service will be held at The Cross Church at 100 North First Street., Wylie, TX 75098 on Monday, February 27^th at 11:00 am followed by a fellowship lunch with friends and family.  In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made directly to Sheri Woodson via Zelle (817)-846-0121.
