Arthur Gene Pinkston

Arthur Gene Pinkston, 77, born June 4, 1944 passed into the arms of Jesus Christ on September 25, 2021. He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Lyna Underwood Pinkston; daughter, Teresa Cheshier; son, Rex Pinkston & Candy; sister, Peggy Lou Welsh; brother, Jackie Pinkston and wife La Vonne; grandchildren, Chris & Lauren Pinkston, Brandon Pinkston & Isabel, Gena and Jameison Patterson; and great-grandchildren, Taylor Ranae, Jacob, Colton, Raylen, Savannah, Koda, Aiden, Jr., & Destiny. He was preceded in death by his parents AB (Hoggie) Pinkston & Naomi Pinkston, brother, Larry Joe Pinkston, & sister Dorothy Saxon; and grandchildren Candis Johnson & Travis Johnson. The funeral will be held at Charles W. Smith & Sons Funeral Home, 601 S. Tennessee St., McKinney, TX 75069 at 11:00 AM on September 30, 2021. Burial will be immediately after at Pecan Grove Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Matthew Hernandez, Nathan Hernandez, Chris Pinkston, Brandon Pinkston, Brian Cheshier, & Sammy Joe Pinkston. The casket will only be open 1 hour before the service.
