Arthur David Jeffers

Arthur "David" Jeffers, 67, of Lavon, TX, passed away May 17, 2021. David was born September 1, 1953 in Corsicana, TX. His memory will be cherished and kept alive by his wife, Dixie, daughter Alicia Young and husband Matthew; daughter Natalie Morgan and husband Todd; grandchildren Travis Young, Trevor Young, Addyson Morgan and Preston Morgan.
David was preceded in death by his parents, Joe and Marjetta Cody and his brother Freddie Jeffers. He will be missed by best friends, Larry and Tinzar Holloway, numerous nieces and nephews, sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, extended family and friends.
David married Dixie Vinson on August 6, 1976. Together they raised their two daughters in Lavon, TX. He enjoyed sports, however, the Dallas Cowboys had a lifelong avid fan in David. He loved fishing, swimming, scuba diving, playing ice hockey, and cruising the Caribbean. In recent years he preferred to live life on island time.
Memorial service will be held Monday, May 24, 2021 at 11:00 am at Charles Smith and Son's Funeral Home 2343 Lake Road, Lavon, TX 75166.
