Arthur James “Jim” Cotten Jr.

Cotten Jr., Arthur James “Jim”, age 83, passed away on June 6, 2023 in Murphy, Texas. He was born on October 2, 1939 in Stephenville, Texas to Arthur James and Mary Georgianna Cotten.  Most importantly Jim was a Christian.  Jim was raised in Fort Worth, Texas where he graduated from Arlington Heights High School in 1957. Jim went on to attend North Texas State University where he graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Education in1962.  He married Nan Delight Tuthill in 1961. Jim worked in the Life Insurance business for over 50 years. In his spare time, Jim enjoyed fishing and spending time with his grandchildren. He also loved watching high school football. Those who loved Jim will always remember he was quite the story teller and loved a good joke. He is preceded in death by his parents, James and Mary Cotten, and his wife Nan Cotten. Jim is survived by his children Candy, Jinja and Trey.
