Alfredo Hernandez

July 14, 1954 — March 27, 2024

Nevada, Texas

Alfredo Hernandez, a beloved figure in his family, has peacefully departed on March 27, 2024. Born in Mexico City on July 14th, 1954, Alfredo's life was defined by his unconditional love, humor, and dedication. He leaves a legacy that resonates deeply with all who had the privilege of knowing him. His love for God was seen through his compassion for man, because he fed the hungry, helped the helpless, provided for the homeless, and spread the word of God.

Described as caring and compassionate, Alfredo was a devoted husband to Letty Hernandez and the father of his four children: Leticia Mordaunt, Elizabeth Marie Stone, Joseph Alfredo Hernandez, and Anthony David Hernandez. Along with his grandchildren; Titus Maximus Hernandez, Liam Michael Stone, Scarlett Elise Mordaunt, and Henry Carter Stone, and his surviving sister Maria Guadalupe Serrano. Known for his endearing dad jokes, Alfredo's presence brought joy and laughter into the lives of his family and friends. He dedicated 28 years as a train operator with the New York City Transit Authority, sacrificing his comfort to ensure the well-being of his loved ones.

Alfredo's passions extended beyond his family and career. In his youth, he was a dedicated runner and an enthusiastic Beatles fan who shared his passion with his family, whose music filled our home with warmth and nostalgia. He was a competitive bowler and chess player, who was always up for a challenge.

Alfredo's memory will live on through the laughter of his grandchildren and the fond recollections of those touched by his kindness and generosity.
