Albert Lee Baker

January 24, 1931 — September 13, 2020

Albert Lee Baker Jr., 89, of Forney, Texas, died of natural causes on September 13, 2020 surrounded by family.

Al was born in Dallas, Texas and is predeceased by his parents Opal and Albert Sr., sister Elgin, daughter Barbara and son Albert III. Al is survived by his beloved wife of 57 years, Beverly Baker; daughter Beverly Ambrosio; daughter Sandra Baker and fiancé Kyle Kloppe; grandson Lee Baker IV and wife Lauren; great-grandchild Albert V and nephews Ken and Mark.

Through hard work and sacrifice, Al owned several successful businesses, including a Fina station in his 20's, Baker Equipment & Supply Inc. and several car washes. He was also a builder and with his childhood friend, Carl Dillion, built the beautiful baldacchino of St. Jude Chapel in downtown Dallas. Most importantly, he built a lifetime of valued relationships.

Integrity, generosity, compassion, and a strong work ethic were all hallmarks of Al throughout his life. Al was well respected, trusted, known for his great sense of humor and his big heart. He will be greatly missed by many.

A memorial service will be held October 11, 2020 at 1:00 pm, St. Jude Chapel, 1521 Main St., Dallas, TX 75201. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Arthritis Foundation, arthritis.org
